SOUND

We decided not to add any non-diagetic sound into the film. This was because although part of it was filmed on a mani camera, much of it is from handy-cam, and we wanted it to be as naturasl and realistic as possible. We wanted the audience to forget it weas a film and belive that this really could have happened. However, we did enhance some diagetic sounds, such as taking the sound of running footsteps from one clip and adding it onto another to raise tesnion.

Apart from this, we had the sound of the camera fuzzing, but this was supposed to be 'diagetic'. We also had the radio at the beginning over the credits, to give some establishing ifnromation to the viewer.

FEEDBACK ON EDITING

We got feedback from our teachers on our clip, and were told we should shorten some of our clips to keep up the pace and the tension. For example, the clip of the foot hitting the ground was shortened so that there was no lingering on empty space.

EDITING

When putting our film together, we found that some of our clips didn't match up, as we'd had to change the lighting during the filming for better angles. in order to compensate for this, we added in shots of the camera breaking down breifly. We did this by using effects such as the noise of a camera goign static-y, and the screen going pixellated, which are instantly recognisable to the audience as a piece of technoloogy not wokring properly. This then linked the 2 scene's together. the fuzzing noise matched up with other parts of our clip, such as the at the begining, before the radio starts, and right at the end, as the screen goes black.
